There is no wrong or right answer here but both ways has pros and cons. SINGLE LANGUAGE This should generally be your first step by mastering a single language as this would give you a specialty as well as make it much easier to grasp concepts of other languages more effectively. A single language when given the proper attention and focus can be used to accomplish so much and this would give you an edge on other developers in this language as you would become the guy to refer to in queries to this language making you somewhat of an expert in the acquired language. Learning many Languages At Once

Should you learn more than one language at a time? How much can you get out of this strategy and would this benefit you? All this may come to mind when learning programming and it can be a huge factor in your learning experience. I know some are just enthusiastic and want to get the most out of this or feel that you backwards in your knowledge base and want to keep up with the rest that seem to be way more ahead of you so you try to cram as much as you can on different languages. Just on the get go, I can tell you that this is a really really bad idea. This technique or style will most probably get you nowhere other than confused, overwhelmed and exhausted.
