Copy And Paste!

Copy And Paste!

When it comes to doing research or a problem in programming occurs where you can’t seem to come to a solution on your own, your final place to search for the solution is the internet and finding solutions which others have developed. Next thing you know, you copy and paste.

In this stage of learning, yes it is good to join communities and observe the different solutions that come by to get a better understanding of how problems are generally solved with varieties of solutions but by coping and pasting, I am absolutely sure that you are not learning anything by this activity.

A better, not perfect but better method or first step to reforming or gaining from other’s insights is to write out the code or information that you find. Type it or write it out word for word. This will give you the opportunity to intake some of the information that you discover and may very well understand it better.

This in turn would make you comprehend the solution enough so that you start developing a understanding of what solution is necessary and start implementing this techniques you have discovered in your own way.

Through time, with lots of experience and proper practice, you would eventually develop solutions on your own with much ease implementing all that you have acquired through understanding, rather than copying and pasting.

The more work you put into an activity or skill, the more and efficiently you grow in it. I know that it is an easy way out and we as humans, can feel lazy at times if not all to put more effort when an easier and quick option with less work is available and at times, it would be a good decision to go with it but when it comes to learning and coding and all that needs to be understood and applied, you need to go the straight long road to reach a fulfilled victory.

So in conclusion to this, I would like to say to one and all who take advantage or use this method which cheats others and more importantly yourself, if you guilty of this habit, stop and remember don’t duplicate, manipulate and be original.
