Theory and practical are two of the main ways of learning throughout the world and I doubt there is any other ways of learning or creating a skill in life.

Theory is on the more literacy side where you focus on reading and gathering information through the comprehension of books and take in as much information as you can through literature.

Practical on the other hand is much more hands on and physical where you grasp concepts through putting action into understanding and in this way pick up skills and comprehend concepts.

Some believe that one is better than the other and focus on one tool either theory or practical. In my belief, this is wrong.

Both ways of learning should be incorporated into your learning experience. Imagine going to learn a programming language or creating a website or even common task like baking a cake or creating something you have no skill or knowledge in or gaining knowledge but not putting it into practice. In most case, you will surely fail.

This is key and especially when it comes to the I.T field, it is crucial to utilize both, theory to gain the knowledge as well as putting every small aspect into practice as this would most surely benefit you and give you a much more efficient and faster way of grasping and understanding the skills you gain.

So as much as theory can be a hard thing to take in at times or you feel too lazy to put what you’ve learnt into practice, use them and remember how much faster you’ll learn with using both techniques together and save time in confusion.

Input theory and practical into your life, process them to work together and you shall see an output of greater understanding and ease.
