Learn How To Code
Learning how
to code can be a very hard task at times especially when you first start and
getting into it but luckily there is many resources to which you can utilize
now days to make your learning experience that much more easier.
STEP 1
Firstly,
when taking those first steps into the world of IT and coding, you need to
start building your knowledge on the theoretical aspect of things so that you
can get a good understanding of what programming is and how it works and the
reason for using programming, basically understanding what is programming.
I recommend
using the book shown below:
It is a
simple book which is easy to understand, fun to read and takes a more casual
approach to understanding the key points to programming.
There are
many other great books to use and if you not comfortable with this one, you can
easily find many great books to learn but main goal is to get your theory
behind programming.
Without knowing
your theory, it is like pulling the trigger of a loaded gun whilst looking into
the chamber or shooting yourself in the foot.
STEP 2
Next step of
learning how to code is after understanding what programming is, to choose a
specific language you want to code in. Yes, programming has different languages
to use.
Now when
choosing a language, there are many languages to choose from, a wide variety,
some older than others, some much more complicated than most.
I suggest
you start off with something that is easier to understand and will be able to
give a good step to understanding how to code.
My top two
recommendations is:
-
Visual
Basics
-
Python
These two are the simplest of languages that I have found so
far but you can do more research and see which you feel more comfortable with
and what you want to do and get out of your coding but I strongly suggest these
two as these helped me get an understanding of programming and made it simple
and understandable.
STEP 3
The third
step of learning how to code is to put it into practice.
Practice is
key to understanding code and getting accustomed to how it all goes together
and you tend to pick it up faster as well as the theory starts to get much
clearer.
Please
whatever you do, don’t be lazy to practice cos this will help you tremendously
and give you a great start to understanding programming. Even if it is an hour
a day, just make the time and practice all that you learn and you shall see how
easy coding will become for you.
If you go
with my recommendation on programming languages, then I suggest using Visual
Studios which can be found below:
You can use
it for many languages and it is easy to use and a great programming software
which I love to use.
STEP 4
The last but
not final step is to research. Google is an amazing tool at your disposal which
has a variety of resources to help you learn how to code. Many website show you
step by step how to code as well as breaking each aspect down for you.
Another
great thing is that on the internet, there is many amazing communities which
are always ready to help and assist you in your journey to learning how to code
so don’t be shy and interact and view all the wonderful and insightful
information available to you.
I hope this
has helped you get a good understanding of how to learn how to code and is
beneficial to you.
Good luck on your venture and you enjoy the magic of the
world of IT.
